Teams

Numerous members of the OCO-2 team were a part of the original OCO project/team and have been working together for nearly 16 years. After the launch failure of OCO, which resulted in the loss of the mission, team members were committed to seeing the mission fly again, and rebuilding the instrument for the crucial measurements that were needed to answer urgent science questions. As the former project manager, Ralph Basilio, often said to the team, "We have unfinished business."

OCO-2 would not be possible without the expertise, fortitude and commitment from every single member of the team. The organizational list below represents current key staff members at JPL.

Members of the OCO-2 Mission Team include:

Project Manager: Mona Witkowski, Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Project Scientist: Vivienne Payne, Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Deputy Project Scientist: Abhishek Chatterjee, Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Science Team Lead: Junjie Liu, Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Science Validation Lead: Greg Osterman, Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Calibration Lead: Rob Rosenberg, Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Science Algorithm Lead: Alyn Lambert, Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Mission Operations Systems Manager: Sophia Lee, Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Navigation Lead: Ted Sweetser, Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Mission Operations Assurance Manager: Grant Faris, Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Science Data Operations System Engineering and Science Data Operations System Lead: Kacie Shelton, Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Science Data Operations Systems Product Delivery Manager: Cynthia Wong, Jet Propulsion Laboratory
